High Mountain Expedition
Chachacomani located at the center of the Cordillera Real is one of the massifs with a height of 6100 m / 20,013 ft. Which is part of the 6000 giants of Bolivia, the first description of this mountain was in 1929 by a French expedition of De Lagrange, being in June of 1973 in which Bauer, Edlinger, Streif and Kerchbaumsteiner managed to conquer the Chachacomani by the North Face – Route North. In June of 1947 J. Sanjines, G. Bucholtz, D. Moore and M. Pahud managed to conquer the Chachacomani summit by the South Face – South Route.
The northwest face is the easy access of the Chachacomani showing its summit a view of the Illampu, Ancohuma to the North and to the South a spectacular view of Huayna Potosí.
Why does the Chachacomani attract us?
The spectacular view that offers its summit is not only one of its attractions, its days of approach are impressive, the Chachacomani is a little visited mountain this makes it wild, making every person can live the nature day by day.

Its extensive glacier with many open cracks makes the ascension a bit difficult, the same ones that usually change every season, but the use of a classic ice ax is sufficient for ascension to the summit.
