Mercedario Expedition Expedition to the highest peak of the Cordón de La Ramada, accessed by 4×4 vehicle to the department of Calingasta, once in the town of Barreal we will follow the path that borders the Río de Los Patos to the refuge of Laguna Blanca, where we will begin to live the experience of ascending the highest in the Province of San Juan.

Itinerary

Day 1: From San Juan City, transfer to Barreal and then, in 4×4 vehicle to Laguna Blanca. Camp.

Day 2: Laguna Blanca – Guanaquitos (Base Camp, 3 hours, 3600 m)

Day 3: Day of acclimatization in Guanaquitos. Walk in the area.

Day 4: Porteo to Cuesta Blanca (Camp 1, 6 hours round trip, 4350 m)

Day 5: Guanquitos – Cuesta Blanca (Camp 1, 4 hours, 4600 m)

Day 6: Rest in Cuesta Blanca

Day 7: Cuesta Blanca – Pirca de Indios (Camp 2, 5 hours, 5150 m)

Day 8: Rest in Pirca de Indios

Day 9: Pirca de Indios – La Ollada (Camp 3, 4 hours, 5900 m)

Day 10: La Ollada – Summit (10 hours round trip, 6700 m)

Day 11: Extra day

Day 12: Extra day

Day 13: La Ollada – Guanaquitos (6 hours)

Day 14: Guanaquitos – Laguna Blanca. Transfer to Barreal.

Day 15: Return to San Juan.
